Parging provides a clean sacrificial surface and helps protect exposed masonry from weather, but it is not a substitute for structural repair, drainage work or waterproofing. The substrate should be assessed and repaired before a new finish is applied.
Why is the parging on my Ottawa home cracking or falling off?

Can you repair only one cracked section of parging?
